Victron VDI-16
With the galvanic isolator you will protect the underwater metal parts of your boat from electrolytic corrosion. The isolator blocks low voltage DC currents that enter the boat through the shore power ground wire. Internally, it consists of two diodes that are wired in antiparallel, allowing current to flow in both directions. The voltage at which the diodes conduct current is around 1.4 Vdc. The isolator is installed directly behind the ship's 230 V connection.
