Industrial control unit (controller) for LoRa nodes, designed for monitoring and controlling devices such as temperature sensors, access control systems, and security systems. It features two digital inputs and two outputs, simplifying the deployment and replacement of LoRaWAN networks.
Thanks to its industrial design and metal enclosure with IP30 rating, the LN1140 is widely applicable in indoor applications such as smart industry, building automation, and more.
Communication interfaces:
- 2× digital input (DI)
- 2× digital output (DO)
- micro USB configuration (PC software)
The LN1140 LoRaWAN controller with built-in numerous industrial interfaces connects to all types of sensors, meters, and other devices. Via the LoRaWAN network, it also bridges Modbus data between serial and Ethernet networks. The LN1140 supports the LoRaWAN Class C protocol to be fully compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways, including the PLANET LCG-300 series (LCG-300W). It is ideal for large-scale IoT application deployments such as building automation projects, smart metering, HVAC systems, etc. With multiple interfaces, this LoRaWAN controller can perfectly assist in modernizing legacy assets into IoT-capable form.
- Two digital input interfaces and two digital output interfaces
- Transmission over exceptionally long distances (up to 10 km line-of-sight)
- Compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers
- Industrial metal enclosure with wide operating temperature range
- Wide input voltage range (DC 9–48 V) or AC 24 V input
- Compact dimensions and DIN rail mounting

Supported LoRaWAN bands:

LoRa is one of the wireless network protocols used in the world of the Internet of Things – IoT.
LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is another low-power wireless network protocol designed for low-cost and secure two-way communication in the Internet of Things. It utilizes bands below 1 GHz and the data transfer rate ranges from 0.3 kb/s to 50 kb/s.
Communication between end devices and gateways is spread across different frequency bands and data rates. The choice of data transfer rate is a trade-off between communication range and message length. Individual communication streams with different data rates do not interfere with each other (due to spread spectrum technology) and create a set of "virtual" channels to increase gateway capacity.
To maximize the battery life of end devices and overall network capacity, the LoRaWAN network server manages the data rate and RF output for each end device individually, through the Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) system.
LoRaWAN distinguishes several device classes:
Class A – end devices support bi-directional communication (each uplink is followed by two downlink receive windows)
Class B – in addition to the "forced" downlink of Class A, devices of this class open additional receive windows at scheduled times
Class C – receive windows are open almost continuously and close only during transmission
