DELL PowerVault MD2412 represents a scalable disk storage designed for easy capacity expansion of PowerEdge servers. With 12 slots for 3.5" drives and support for high-speed SAS connectivity up to 24 Gb/s, it provides an optimal solution for demanding enterprise applications requiring fast data access.
This configuration includes 12 drives with 16 TB capacity with SAS 12 Gb/s interface and 7,200 RPM, providing a total raw capacity of 192 TB. With redundant power supplies and the ability to connect up to 8 expansion enclosures with a total of 96 drives (when using HBA355e), this solution offers an excellent combination of performance, capacity, and reliability.

Depending on the controller used, you can connect up to 8 enclosures with a total of 96 drives when using HBA355e or up to 4 enclosures with 48 drives when using H840. This flexibility allows you to optimally adapt your storage solution to current and future needs.
