UniFi Network Attached Storage (UNAS) 2 represents an elegant solution for home and office environments with support for two 3.5" HDD drives in a compact desktop design. The device is equipped with a powerful quad-core ARM® Cortex®-A55 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and 4 GB of RAM for smooth operation.

Network connectivity is provided by a 2.5 GbE RJ-45 port with support for 2.5G/1G/100M/10M speeds, while a 5 Gbps USB-C port enables fast storage expansion. Power is delivered via PoE++ with an included 60W adapter, simplifying installation and cabling.

Management via UniFi Drive
The device is managed through the UniFi Drive application version 3.1.7 and newer. Mobile applications are available for iOS™ (version 10.28.0+) and Android™ (version 10.28.3+).

UNAS 2 is designed for operation in a temperature range of -5 to +40 °C at relative humidity of 10-90% without condensation. The device meets FCC, CE, IC certifications and is NDAA compliant.

Does UNAS 2 provide backups and file protection?

Yes, UNAS 2 protects your files using RAID redundancy and regular snapshots for restoring previous file versions. It also supports backups to other UNAS devices via SMB/CIFS or to popular cloud storage services including Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, and Wasabi.

Does UNAS 2 support disk encryption?

No. Disk encryption is not supported on UNAS 2 due to hardware limitations. For encryption, choose UNAS Pro, which is designed with the necessary computing power.

Does UNAS 2 support hot-swapping HDDs?

No. UNAS 2 does not support hot-swapping drives. Please power down the device before adding, removing, or replacing drives to ensure safe operation.

What is the snapshot limit on UNAS 2?

UNAS 2 supports a total of up to 4,096 snapshots, with a limit of 128 per Personal Drive and 256 per Shared Drive.

Does UNAS 2 have a mobile or desktop app for access?

Yes. In addition to direct access via Site Manager, UNAS 2 supports the SMB protocol, allowing users to connect to UniFi Drive directly from their desktop.

The Identity Endpoint app is also available for desktop and mobile, providing license-free access from anywhere.
