Ubiquiti UniFi Device Bridge Switch

The UniFi Device Bridge Switch represents an innovative solution combining the functionality of a network switch with an advanced Wi-Fi 7 wireless bridge. Thanks to UniFi WiFi Auto-Link technology, the device automatically connects to available UniFi access points in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, enabling quick network deployment without cabling.

The switch features one 10GbE port for high-speed uplink and seven 2.5GbE ports for connecting end devices. All 8 ports support PoE+ with a maximum power of 30 W per port. In the default configuration with the included 60W adapter, it provides a total PoE power of 35 W, and with an optional 210W adapter, up to 185 W is available for powering more demanding devices.

UniFi WiFi Auto-Link and STR MLO
The device uses proprietary UniFi WiFi Auto-Link technology for automatic and stable wireless connection between UniFi access points. Future support for STR MLO (Simultaneous Transmit and Receive Multi-Link Operation) will allow simultaneous use of 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands for aggregated throughput and significantly higher performance with full-duplex connectivity.

Advanced wireless capabilities
The switch supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with 2 × 2 MIMO configuration in both bands and a maximum EIRP of 26 dBm. Internal 8 dBi gain antennas ensure reliable coverage. The device is backward compatible with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, and older standards. Security is provided via WPA3 SAE.

Flexible deployment
The Device Bridge Switch cannot be used as a standalone access point – it is designed exclusively for wireless bridging via UniFi WiFi Auto-Link. When connected to a wired uplink at startup, it operates as a standard wired UniFi switch. Management is via Ethernet or Wi-Fi using the UniFi Network app version 10.0.156 or later.
