High-performance outdoor 5G modem designed for UniFi Cloud Gateway and UniFi Gateway with download speeds up to 3.4 Gbps.
UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is a professional solution for ensuring reliable mobile connectivity in outdoor environments. The modem operates in Dual SIM Single Standby (DSSS) mode with support for both physical nano SIM and eSIM, enabling automatic backup connection in case of primary carrier outage.
The robust construction made of aluminum alloy and UV-stabilized polycarbonate meets IPX6 rating, which can be extended to IP67 using the included cable gland. The modem features 6 integrated antennas, two of which are directional with high gain of 9 dBi for downlink with a radiation angle of 85° × 85°. Supports mounting on poles with diameter 25–63.5 mm or on walls.
- Support for 5G NR bands including n77, n78, n79 for Sub-6 GHz networks with speeds up to 3.4 Gbps in NSA mode and 1.8 Gbps in SA mode.
- Backward compatibility with 4G LTE (up to 1.6 Gbps) and 3G UMTS networks for maximum connection availability.
- Dual SIM configuration with the option to use two physical nano SIMs or a combination of nano SIM and eSIM for backup connection.
- 2.5GbE RJ-45 network interface with PoE power supply for simple connection without the need for a separate power source.
- Integrated directional antennas with maximum gain of 9 dBi optimized for n77/n78 bands ensure better signal reception.
- Rugged construction for operation in temperatures -40 to +65 °C with IPX6 or IP67 protection and wind resistance up to 200 km/h.
- Maximum transmit power HPUE class 2 reaches 26 dBm for 5G and 25 dBm for 4G LTE.
Compatibility and Management
The device requires connection to UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway and cannot be operated as a standalone router. Management is done exclusively via Ethernet interface after adoption into the UniFi system. For WAN connection, a PoE adapter with direct connection to the gateway must be used.
