The Teltonika Altos router represents a cutting-edge solution for homes and small offices where traditional wired internet connection is not available. It utilizes 5G NR technology with speeds up to 4.0 Gbps (download) and 900 Mbps (upload), also supports 4G LTE CAT 19 (up to 1.6 Gbps) and 3G networks. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) in dual-band mode with 2×2 MIMO technology.

The device is equipped with a powerful Qualcomm processor, 1 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 16GB eMMC storage. For wired connectivity, it offers two Ethernet ports – one 1Gbps and one 2.5Gbps (configurable as WAN/LAN). The router runs on the advanced RutOS operating system (based on OpenWrt) and supports remote management via Remote Management System (RMS) for easy deployment and maintenance.

Advanced networking features
The router supports a wide range of network protocols including dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF v2, RIP, EIGRP), VRRP, load balancing across multiple WAN connections, DDNS with support for 77 providers, QoS traffic management and comprehensive firewall with port forwarding. VoIP passthrough support (H.323, SIP-alg) and Wake On LAN are also included.

Industrial protocols and IoT integration
The device offers support for industrial protocols such as BACnet (router mode), OPC UA (client/server), Modbus (TCP client/server), DNP3, DLMS/COSEM and Data to Server with HTTP(S), MQTT and Azure MQTT. It integrates with cloud platforms ThingWorx, Cumulocity, Azure IoT Hub and AWS IoT Core.

Security and authentication
Implements advanced security mechanisms including TACACS+, RADIUS authentication, X.509 certificates, DDOS prevention (SYN flood, SSH/HTTP attack prevention), port scan prevention and WEB filter with blacklist/whitelist functions. Supports Let's Encrypt and SCEP certificate generation.
