Teltonika EBD050
Compact 5G modem designed for direct mounting on Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 provides mobile connectivity where Wi-Fi or Ethernet is not available.
The Calyx 5G module is an expansion HAT+ card with full 5G Sub-6GHz SA/NSA support with transfer speeds up to 2.4/3.4 Gb/s (DL; 4×4 MIMO) and 900/550 Mb/s (UL; 2×2 MIMO). It also supports 4G LTE Cat 19 with speeds up to 1.6 Gb/s (DL) / 200 Mb/s (UL) and 3G networks with speeds up to 42 Mb/s (DL) / (5.76) Mb/s UL.
The module connects directly to the 40-pin GPIO connector of Raspberry Pi and offers power via GPIO (DC 5 V and 3.3 V), or a separate USB-C port. With compact dimensions of 100.8 × 56 × 23.11 mm and weight of only 57 g, it takes up minimal space. The module supports a wide temperature range of -40 to +75 °C, enabling deployment in industrial applications.
- Full 5G Sub-6GHz SA/NSA support with speeds up to 2.4/3.4 Gb/s (DL) and 900/550 Mb/s (UL)
- Backward compatibility with 4G LTE (Cat 19) and 3G networks
- Direct mounting on Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 via 40-pin GPIO connector
- Four SMA connectors for mobile antennas with 4×4 MIMO support
- Modem control via GPIO pins (PWR_KEY, reset, wakeup)
- Digital audio interface PCM for clear audio transmission with low latency
- USB 3.0 interface via USB-C connector, power option from GPIO or USB-C
- Nano SIM card slot (4FF) with push-pull mechanism
- Operating temperature -40 to +75 °C suitable for industrial deployment
- CE, UKCA, EAC, UCRF, RCM, CB and WEEE certifications

GPIO modem control
The module offers advanced control via Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. The PWR_KEY pin allows modem power on/off, the Modem reset pin performs modem reset, and the Modem wakeup pin wakes the modem from sleep mode.
Flexible power supply
Calyx supports two power supply methods: via 40-pin GPIO header with 5 V and 3.3 V DC voltage or via separate USB-C port with 5 V DC voltage. The module is equipped with status LED indicators (Power, NET IND, NET STAT) for easy connection status monitoring.
Package contents
Calyx modem, manual, mounting kit, 40-pin PCB connector, USB-C to USB cable.
