AirFiber AF-5XHD is a revolutionary unit for outdoor backbone links with throughput exceeding 1 Gbps, operating in the 5 GHz band. The new proprietary LTU Ubiquiti chipset can process over 2 million packets per second.
The airFiber LTU IC chipset surpasses competing products with its superior performance, higher modulation, wider frequency range, better reception sensitivity, and enhanced protection against environmental interference.

AirFiber AF-5XHD, operating with modulation up to 4096QAM (from firmware version v1.1.2), achieves throughput of 1.34 Gbps and is equipped with xRT (xtreme Range Technology) for links up to 100 km.*
It features a dedicated spectral analyzer and the ability to select channel widths of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80/100 MHz, configure asymmetric downlink/uplink operation, GPS synchronization, and set different frequencies for RX and TX.
AirFiber AF-5XHD has 2× RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The first port is for data, while the second port is designated for Management or as a backup for PoE power.
Order the original Ubiquiti antennas for the AF-5XHD with a 45° polarization tilt angle for improved interference resistance in the 23dBi Parabolic and 30dBi Parabolic variants.
AirFiber features visual unit status indicators to aid in link alignment. LED indicators display the status of the RJ-45 ports, data transmission, GPS synchronization, and signal strength.
The package includes all the necessary components for pole mounting and an IP67 insert for enhanced protection against water, dust, and insects. We recommend purchasing surge protection, ETH-SP-G2, for the unit.
