Ubiquiti UniFi Switch USW-Flex
Compact 5-port gigabit Layer 2 switch with PoE++ support for indoor and outdoor deployment.
The USW-Flex offers 5× GbE RJ-45 ports with a switching capacity of 10 Gbps and a throughput of 5 Gbps. Port 1 serves as a PoE++ (802.3bt) input, while ports 2–5 provide PoE+ output with a maximum power of 25 W per port. The total PoE budget reaches up to 46 W when powered via a PoE++ switch or a 60W PoE adapter.
The switch is managed through the UniFi Network application (version 5.10.3 and later) and supports features such as port isolation, port mirroring, jumbo frames, and egress rate limiting. Its compact form factor allows for table, wall, or pole mounting in environments with temperatures ranging from –40 to +55 °C (at full 46 W PoE output).
Flexible PoE Power Input
The USW-Flex supports three input power modes: PoE (802.3af/at) with an 8 W budget, PoE+ (802.3at) with a 20 W budget, and PoE++ (802.3bt) or a 60W PoE adapter with a 46 W budget. The switch's own power consumption without PoE output is 5 W; the maximum power draw including PoE output is 51 W.
Software Requirements
The switch requires the UniFi Network application version 5.10.3 or later for management. Through the controller, you can configure ports, VLANs, traffic mirroring, monitor real-time statistics, and manage multiple sites from a single interface.
When installing the USW Flex with the USW Flex Utility box, the PoE injector mode must be enabled on the port via the UniFi controller settings. (Update: from UniFi OS 7.3.x and later, it is no longer necessary to manually enable the injector — the switch detects it automatically.)
