Converter RS485/422/232 to TCP/IP protocol. IP communication converter (LAN 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet) to serial lines of RS-485, RS-422, and RS-232 types. The type of serial communication is selectable.
The transmission of serial communication over the IP protocol is especially used for data collection, control units, and camera system management. It also serves as a replacement for the physical conversion of the serial protocol into another transmission medium. It practically extends the range of serial communication indefinitely.
The ICS-110 converter enables efficient remote management through Web, Telnet, or VCOM. It supports both application and serial operating modes for alarm or IP address connection, which saves the network administrator's time in detecting and localizing network issues without the need for visual inspection of cabling and devices.
Character delimiter capability:
- Possibility to set the start and end character that defines the beginning and end of communication of the serial device. Data is not sent over Ethernet until the end character is received.
- Ability to set the serial port reception so that if it contains a specific character, the communication is ignored.
A fixed time period can be set after which communication should not take place (e.g., to save telecommunications costs).
