Dream Machine Beast represents a new generation of UniFi cloud gateways built on datacenter architecture principles. Thanks to a powerful 8-core ARM v9 processor running at 2.1 GHz and 16 GB of system memory, it delivers consistent throughput even under peak load. The device consolidates network infrastructure and physical security into a single system with a unified interface, eliminating the need for multiple vendors and licenses.

The gateway supports the complete UniFi application platform including Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Connect with the ability to manage 750+ UniFi devices. The integrated NVR system with two 3.5" HDD slots supports up to 100 HD, 60 2K or 40 4K cameras. Advanced connectivity includes 2× 25G SFP28, 2× 10G SFP+ and 8× 10 GbE RJ-45 ports for demanding applications and clients.

Advanced Security Features
A stateful firewall with application-aware L7 filtering provides granular control over network traffic. The system includes advanced filtering by region, domain and application, content filtering, ad blocking and an integrated RADIUS server with RADIUS over TLS (RadSec) support. The Intrusion Prevention System (IPS/IDS) with more than 55,000 signatures actively identifies and blocks threats in real time.

Multi-WAN and SD-WAN Capabilities
The gateway supports up to 8 WAN connections with intelligent load balancing and automatic failover. The license-free SD-WAN Site Magic solution enables the creation of site-to-site VPN tunnels with automatic configuration. The system monitors internet connection quality and provides detailed reports on outages. It also supports LTE backup connectivity via UniFi LTE Backup.

High Availability and Redundancy
Shadow Mode with VRRP protocol ensures seamless transfer of gateway and management functions to a secondary unit in the event of primary device failure. DC backup power via USP-RPS input (11.5 V DC, 13.05 A) maintains operation during power outages. Redundant NVR storage with two 3.5" HDD slots protects recordings from data loss.

Advanced Network Features
The system supports LACP port aggregation, advanced QoS, multicast DNS (mDNS), comprehensive NAT options (SNAT/DNAT/Masquerade/NAT Pooling/1-to-1 NAT) and a MAC address table with a capacity of 32,000 entries. IPv6 support, IGMP proxy and a customizable DHCP server provide flexibility for various network scenarios.

Management and Monitoring
The device runs on UniFi OS with a locally hosted UniFi Network application that provides centralized management of the entire infrastructure. It cannot be managed remotely via CloudKey, Official UniFi Hosting or UniFi OS Server. Management is available via Ethernet, Bluetooth, the UniFi mobile app (iOS 10.34.0+, Android 10.37.1+) or a console port for direct CLI access during troubleshooting.
